If you are ever involved in an incident that leads you to report a claim, here are some tips to help you manage the situation until you can contact us and we can help.
Motorcycle/ATV Claims
If another party is involved:
- Call the police.
- Document the scene, make notes and if possible take pictures.
- Record the name, address and the phone numbers of the involved operators and witnesses.
- If there are any injuries involved, please make a notation of who was injured and the nature of the injury.
- Do not give any statements other than to the authorities.
Theft/Vandalism:
- Secure the property.
- Report the occurrence to the police or proper authorities.
- Document the damage and inventory any missing items.
Damages:
- Remove the unit to safekeeping.
- Protect it from further damages.
- Pick a repair facility.
Notify us as soon as possible:
Watercraft Claims
Protect the property from further damage.
If your watercraft has taken on water, make the necessary arrangements to recover and protect it from further damage. If any machinery has been submerged, it must be immediately flushed and properly lubricated to prevent further damage.
Document what happened.
Make notes; we will need to know exactly what happened. If possible, take photographs of the damages. Record the names, addresses and phone numbers of any other involved people, including witnesses. Please make a notation of who may have been injured.
Report the accident, theft or vandalism to the police.
If the incident involves another party, report the occurrence to the police immediately. The policy also requires that any theft or vandalism loss be reported to the police or proper authorities.
Choose a repairer.
When reporting the claim it is helpful to have your repairer’s contact information.
Notify us as soon as possible.
